Dashie: Car Widgets — Support

A drive card greets you by name when CarPlay connects, and your CarPlay, Home Screen and StandBy widgets look the way you choose.

Setting up the drive card

Dashie needs iOS 27. Setup takes about 2 minutes and needs no car.

Try it on your iPhone first. On the screen after you type your name, tap Try the card now and lock your iPhone: the card greets you for 8 seconds, then shows the timer, and goes away after 2 minutes. Already past that screen? Use Try in step 2 below.

In the car, the drive card is started by one Dashie shortcut that carries a CarPlay automation; Dashie hands it to you as a file. A second shortcut, for when CarPlay disconnects, is optional. Dashie's setup guide (Set up and check) takes you through three steps; the third is optional. The steps, in case you want them here:

Add the shortcut. In the setup guide tap Add on Connects. In the sheet that opens, pick Shortcuts, then tap Add Shortcut. Back in Dashie, tap Added. The shortcut is named in your app language, for example Dashie Connects. Disconnects is marked Optional: add it the same way if you want the card to show your drive time when you leave. Already added one? Don't add it a second time, or you get two copies. Deleted one later? Reopen the setup guide and tap it to add it again.
Try it once. While you add the shortcut, Shortcuts asks about its automation; leave it on, and the CarPlay automation comes in switched on. Tap Try to run the shortcut once: the first time, Shortcuts asks you to allow Dashie's actions. Allow them, and the card appears on your Lock Screen and goes away after 2 minutes. If you added Disconnects, try it the same way. Automation off? Open that section under the step: tap Open (or open the shortcut in Shortcuts), tap the arrow on the CarPlay row and turn on Automation, then come back and tap It's on.
Optional: add the widget. On your iPhone, go to Settings › General › CarPlay › your car › Widgets › Add Widget and choose Dashie A (or the slot you saved). The drive card does not need it.

Shortcut not added? Under the first step choose Set it up by hand: in Shortcuts tap +, then the Automation chip; search CarPlay and pick it; search Dashie and add its drive card action with the event CarPlay connects, and rename the shortcut "Dashie Connects". For the optional second shortcut, choose Disconnects on the CarPlay trigger and the event CarPlay disconnects, and name it "Dashie Disconnects".

When both steps are done, the Garage shows Awaiting first drive; once the card has come on a real drive, it shows Ready. In a hurry? Tap Skip for now and finish the rest later from the Garage or Settings › Reopen setup.

The drive card (Live Activity)

When the Connects shortcut runs as CarPlay connects, Dashie starts a Live Activity: a card with your car and a greeting by name. After 8 seconds it becomes a drive timer. iOS shows it on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and can show it on the CarPlay screen.

With the optional Disconnects shortcut, the card shows how long you drove when CarPlay disconnects and goes away 2 minutes later. Without it, the timer stops 3 hours after you connect and the card shows Until the next drive; it goes away when you open Dashie or connect again. A card ends after 8 hours at most, and the next connection starts a new one. The card you try on your iPhone always goes away after 2 minutes.

The first time, iOS asks under the card on the Lock Screen whether to allow Live Activities from Dashie. Choose Allow; if it asks again later, choose Always Allow.
No card? Check Settings › Dashie › Live Activities on your iPhone.
The card holds only your car, your name and the time. It sends nothing anywhere.
No Disconnects shortcut yet? After your first drive, the Garage offers it: Want a goodbye when you leave?

The card did not appear in my car

Try it without the car: in Dashie's setup guide tap Try, or in Shortcuts run Dashie Connects with ▶. The card should appear on your Lock Screen. If it does, Dashie works and the problem is the automation or the car. If Dashie says Shortcut not found, add it again in step 1.
In Shortcuts, open the Dashie shortcut and check that its trigger is CarPlay (not Bluetooth) and that Automation is on (tap the arrow on the CarPlay row). Run it once with Try (or ▶): until you have, iOS may still be waiting for your permission for Dashie's actions.
Deleted a shortcut? Open Dashie › Settings › Reopen setup and add it again in step 1.
Check that Live Activities are allowed: Settings › Dashie › Live Activities.
iOS decides where a Live Activity appears. If you do not see it on the car screen, look at the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island, and check the car's CarPlay settings.
Restart your iPhone once and make sure it runs the latest iOS update.

The card stays after I leave the car

Without the optional Disconnects shortcut, Dashie cannot tell when you leave. The timer stops 3 hours after you connect and the card shows Until the next drive; it goes away when you open Dashie or connect again. For a goodbye with your drive time, add Disconnects: Dashie › Settings › Reopen setup, step 1.

Starting over

If the setup steps got mixed up, open Dashie › Settings › Reopen setup and tap Start over. Dashie forgets which steps you finished; your designs and settings stay.

Your car photo

Dashie keeps one photo of your car. Add it in the Garage (Your car › Photo, then Apply) or in the Studio under Car (Choose photo). The same photo then shows in the Garage, on your widgets and on the drive card. The background is removed on your iPhone. Widgets update within a few minutes.

Choosing a body for a widget in the Studio does not delete the photo: that widget shows the body, and Use photo brings the photo back.
Remove photo takes it away everywhere, so Dashie asks first: Remove your car photo? Widgets that showed it are redrawn with a car body.

My widget does not appear on the car screen

CarPlay widgets need iOS 27 and a CarPlay-compatible car. Home Screen and StandBy widgets need no car.
On your iPhone open Settings → General → CarPlay, choose your car and check the Widgets section.
On the car screen, use the widgets' edit option and add Dashie's small widget to your stack.
Widgets update within a few minutes of saving; they are not real-time gauges. Give it a few minutes, then reconnect.
Games are not offered for the car screen. The Activity widget is listed as not optimized for CarPlay; keep it on the Home Screen. On the car screen every card shows a short, glanceable version: the Verse of the day shows only its reference and the Month calendar only today's date.

Weather widgets

The Weather shelf has five cards: Weather, Hour by hour, Rain watch, Three days and Daylight. The forecast comes from Apple Weather.

Pick a city in the editor and confirm it on the small map. Dashie never asks for your location; only the city you pick is used.
Weather cards update about once a day and show when they were last updated. They show the forecast from that update, not live conditions.
Offline, a card keeps the last forecast for up to 48 hours.

The Activity widget (Apple Health)

Open the Activity tab and tap Connect to Apple Health. Apple's access page opens; Dashie asks to read only and writes nothing to Apple Health.
Add Activity from Dashie in the Home Screen widget gallery (small or medium). It shows today's Move, Exercise and Stand.
Without an Apple Watch, only Move is shown.
Your rings update while your iPhone is unlocked.
No data? If you turned access off, turn it on in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Dashie.
The Activity widget is free and does not use a widget slot.

Verse of the day: text sources

The Faith widgets show one short verse a day, copied word for word from texts that are free to share. Every card names its source. The full list, with each licence, is in Dashie under Settings › Help › Text sources.

Where there is no free-to-share translation in your language, the Quran is shown in Arabic and the Bible in English (World English Bible).

Pro, the free trial, refunds

What is free? Your first widget is free, with every template, every paint and every feature. The drive card, the Garage, the games and the Activity widget are free too. Dashie Pro adds your second and third widget (Dashie B and C). Two widgets side by side that share one design use two slots, so they need Pro. If Pro ends, your saved widgets stay; while two or more slots are filled, changing them needs Pro again.

Plans and trial. Dashie Pro is a subscription only: monthly, with a 3-day free trial, or yearly, with a 7-day free trial. There are no weekly plans. Free trials are for new subscribers. The price in your currency is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. Unless you cancel, the subscription renews automatically when the trial and each period end, and payment is charged to your Apple Account. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends: Settings › your name (Apple Account) › Subscriptions › Dashie.

Refunds. All payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot see or change your payment. Restore. On a new iPhone, open Dashie → Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.

Where is my data?

Your name, photos and plate stay on your iPhone. For weather, only the city you pick goes to Apple Weather, never your iPhone's location. Your Activity rings: Dashie reads today's summary from Apple Health and keeps it only on this iPhone. Dashie reads its shortcut files from Apple's iCloud (a read-only public database; it needs no account and sends nothing about you), and keeps a short technical log of its last 12 runs on your iPhone only. Bağlanınca kestirmesi CarPlay bağlanırken çalıştığında Dashie bir Canlı Etkinlik başlatır: arabanı ve adınla bir karşılamayı gösteren bir kart. 8 saniye sonra sürüş sayacına dönüşür. iOS onu Kilit Ekranı'nda ve Dynamic Island'da gösterir, CarPlay ekranında da gösterebilir.

İsteğe bağlı Ayrılınca kestirmesi varsa kart, CarPlay ayrılınca ne kadar sürdüğünü gösterir ve 2 dakika sonra kapanır. Baştan başlama

Kurulum adımları birbirine karıştıysa Dashie › Ayarlar › Kurulumu tekrar aç'ı aç ve Baştan başla'ya dokun. Dashie hangi adımları bitirdiğini unutur; tasarımların ve ayarların kalır.

Araç fotoğrafın

Dashie arabanın tek bir fotoğrafını tutar. Onu Garaj'da (Araban › Fotoğraf, sonra Uygula) ya da Stüdyo'da Araç altında (Fotoğraf seç) yükle. Aynı fotoğraf Garaj'da, widget'larında ve sürüş kartında görünür. Arka planı iPhone'unda silinir. Widget'lar dakikalar içinde güncellenir.

Hava widget'ları

Hava rafında beş kart var: Hava durumu, Saat saat, Yağmur saati, Üç gün ve Gün ışığı. Tahmin Apple Weather'dan gelir.

Editörde bir şehir seç ve küçük haritada onayla. Dashie konumunu hiç istemez; yalnız seçtiğin şehir kullanılır.

Neler ücretsiz? İlk widget'ın her şablon, her boya ve her özellikle ücretsizdir. Sürüş kartı, Garaj, oyunlar ve Etkinlik widget'ı da ücretsizdir. Dashie Pro ikinci ve üçüncü widget'ını (Dashie B ve C) ekler. Tek tasarımı paylaşan yan yana iki widget iki yuva kullanır, bu yüzden Pro ister.
