No Contact is built to be private. Your content — the reasons you type, journal entries, unsent letters and voice notes — stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. We do not sell or share your personal data. Our paywall and purchase provider receives a small amount of anonymous information, none of it linked to your identity — see Purchases. Apart from that, the only thing that leaves the app is a link you can choose to tap — see Links to partners.
Your no-contact start date and your progress are stored only on your device (and, for the widget, in a private app group on your device). The same goes for everything you create in the app: the reasons you type during setup, journal entries, unsent letters and voice notes are stored only on your device. None of it is sent to us or any server.
If you allow notifications, every one of them — daily notes, milestone notes, a short note back after a letter you keep, and 30-day look-backs at your journal — is written and scheduled locally on your device. Milestone notes can quote the reasons you typed during setup; those reasons stay on your phone, and you can turn quoting off in Settings. Nothing is sent to a server: we do not run a notification server and cannot see whether you receive them.
Private reflections on your letters and “Talk it through” use Apple’s on-device model, available on iOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence turned on. What you write there is processed on your iPhone only. Conversations are not saved: they disappear when you close the screen. Nothing you write is sent to us, to Apple’s servers or to any AI provider, and there is no account involved.
The microphone is used only when you tap record to add a voice note to your journal. Recordings are stored on your device and are never uploaded.
If you buy a subscription or the lifetime option, the transaction is processed by Apple, and the paywall and purchase status are managed through Superwall, our paywall provider. Superwall is set up when the app opens, so for every user it receives an anonymous device identifier and an app-assigned ID, and paywall interaction events (such as a paywall being shown or closed), and, if you buy, your purchase history and subscription status. This is used only to run the paywall and validate purchases; it is not linked to your identity and not used for tracking. None of your content (reasons, journal, letters, voice notes) is ever sent. We never receive your payment details.
The “Right now” screen ends with a link to Online-Therapy.com, an independent online therapy service. It is an advertisement: if you subscribe after following that link, we earn a commission. We are not affiliated with them beyond that, and they send us no information about you.
Nothing is sent anywhere unless you tap it. Tapping it opens Safari, not a browser inside the app. From then on it is an ordinary web visit: the destination — and the click-tracking service that credits the referral (go.online-therapy.com) — will see your IP address, your browser’s user agent and the time of the visit, and may set a cookie in Safari so the referral can be attributed. That exchange is between you and them, governed by their privacy policy. The app does not send it, and never learns whether you subscribed or what you discuss with anyone.
We do not use analytics SDKs, third-party ad networks, or cross-app tracking, and the app does not request tracking permission. The only usage data that leaves the app is the anonymous paywall interaction events described under Purchases. The only advertisement in the app is the partner link described above: it is a plain link, it loads no ad-network code, and it does nothing at all until you tap it.
No Contact is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
